*SIGH* Ever have those days where you just don't know what you're doing?? I've been mucking around with a few manips but they just look so amateurish  There's nothing worse than having a idea/picture in your head and not having the knowledge to be able to pull it off (not that I really need to tell anyone here).  I know there are tutorials around but I just don't know which ones I would need. Obviously the most basic functions aren't tutorial worthy ;) It would be so nice to have someone sitting over my shoulder saying 'you need to do this now' Rather than the kids saying 'Mum, I want a drink'.

Have also been thinking about posting some of my pics in the photography section so maybe I could go and tidy up a few of those.  I wonder if I can post a shot in the photography section that I have available as Stock?

I was also wondering how it is that a photographer can take a shot of something as uninteresting as a building roofline and turn it into an artistic shot? What is it that makes a photographer stop and say 'I have to take a photo of that'? Would love to hear a photographer's thoughts on this.

With reference to the first issue - it all takes practice! Even now, some of my stuff looks like crap (check out my scraps for recent examples). You just need to be patient and make lots of layers. If there's something you need to know, just note me, or post a scrap and I'll give you tips on how to improve if I think it can be fixed. :)

You can multi-post your images under a different category. It'll just double up in your gallery.

And on the last topic, some people think is terms of lines and angles. Some people think in terms of the whole scene. I personally take pictures with the intent to crop and change or enhance. It depends on the idividual interest of the person as to why a picture gets taken. Also, there's little tips and tricks to bring out interest in an otherwise UNinteresting picture. ;)

Lordy, Ren!! You call those scraps??? Lots of layers, okay. I'll wait till the little beastie goes down for a nap and see if I can have a play. I'll put some things in my scraps and look forward to your critique/help.;)

On photography. Sometimes I'll just be walking past something and I'll get a flash of 'ooooh, got to get that!'. So I'll have to backtrack a few steps to try and find the 'picture' that 'jumped out at me. I do rely on this a bit too much and find it hard to actually set up a good shot. I guess everyone has their own way of doing things.

Thanks for your comments.

It seems to take a while for scraps to show up in the scraps gallery for some reason. Just another bug with this latest version of DA. I can't see it just yet, but I'll comment on it as soon as I do!

Thanks muchly  It's a very basic manip. I would like to add to it once I find the 'right' stock, so it's a WIP.

Yeah, I can understand what you're saying. I wonder if I'll ever be happy with something I've created. All that tweeking could honestly send you around the twist!
