Well, it's all happening folks. Looks like I could have paid work as a cover artist and I have officially been sent the details for my first test cover.

Of course I'm now running around in a mad flap trying to scratch together some suitable stock

Talk about time consuming. I'm yet to find anything suitable that doesn't cost $700+. Yes, I kid you not $700+ people - sheesh, I'm lucky to be able to afford a loaf of bread ATM, let alone paying out for stock. Somehow I don't think the publishers would want to pay for it either
Anyway, to make things just that bit trickier this publisher does the erotica style of romance novels so I need buffed up hunks and honeys with little to nothing on. My first ever work will be a historical western - OMG!
Oh my, I think I feel an ulcer coming on : Wish me luck (oh, and direct me to some good stock if you know of any

)

has one of the best ranges of brushes around - so go give her some love

As for stockists? Er, I just typed in 'erotic-stock' [LINK] tho that may not be er, quite what you are looking for, but type in stockists, and it should throw up a load of hits for you.
It's always worth a look-see, as you never know, you just might find what you are looking for, for less than $700! Eek!
I knew you'd be doing proper cover art soon!
It really helps to know people doesn't it? Dad knows Graham Singleton who is one of the head guys at the Advocate, and got me in for work experience.
I'll be entering photography at Grafton (they don't have a photography section at Coffs!) and probably some art here.
Haven't decided what I'll be putting in yet, and entries close this saturday!
